Some Recent Finds...
Just some outfits featuring new additions to my wardrobe.
This week I’ve compiled some recent outfits that feature or are predominately made up of new to me items.
So, obviously the focal point of this outfit is the dress - bought by my husband for my birthday - but I found it on Vinted and sent him the link. It’s an amazing Marques Almeida full-length taffeta dress/gown(!?) that was around £30. It’s an item that needs to be toned down a bit for day to day, so I’ve been wearing it with a t-shirt and flats. Yes, as you can see, I’ve upped the tabi game and gone full on vibram fivefingers; they are the true marmite shoe and i’m still not sure about the trainer style - BUT omg. the.comfiest.shoes.ever. WOW. These are new but will be well, well loved.
I’m also wearing Firmoo sunglasses, If you wear prescription glasses absolutely check this website out- it’s where the majority of my glasses come from. Lastly, the t-shirt was from a YMCA shop and the Luella bag I got a few months ago and wrote about here.

This outfit was a comfy office outfit- the main item I wanted to mention was this awesome light cotton sweatshirt. I found it in the YMCA shop in Hove for 50p!? It’s a lovely layering piece that will get some serious wear in Autumn or Spring, there is no label but it feels like such nice quality and goes to show you should never turn down a charity shop sale rail.
This was worn over the top of my beloved Egg trading dress I found on Ebay; as well as some M&S jeans I found in a Guild Care in Worthing; my trusty Vibrams; and lastly some more Firmoo glasses!

I felt so nice in this outfit, it was super easy and nothing spectacular - but it was comfy, simple and made me feel put together! Don’t you love it when that happens?
Anywho, I found the top in a Salvation Army shop last week for £2! It’s a lovely yellow linen that fits really nicely - a great find! I teamed it with a cotton dress I thrifted from Emmaus and dyed recently; it was initially a hot pink colour which was lovely, but I know I tend to gravitate to colourful but more muted tones so decided to dye it brown, and I’ve worn it loads more since.
These are teamed with my trusty Louis Vuitton Noe BB bucket bag I got from Vestiaire in 2019 and some lovely ponyskin leopard mules (that are really hanging on by a thread!) that I got from Vinted.

Vinted really came through for me, truly. I had this Rachel Comey 2019 Oust dress on my imaginary secondhand wish-list for years. I found it on Vinted in May… for £30. I couldn’t believe it, I love it so dearly. Moiree hot pink fabric (aware I dyed my last hot pink dress… but it’s different!) lovely back detail, it’s super comfy, oversized and makes a big ol’ statement. Due to it being a wool/viscose mix, it’s quite a warm dress, so I haven’t been able to wear it as much as I like. However, I think it will really get worn a lot in winter with a turtle neck under it - it’s going to be a great one for layering! I found it in linen here.
I wore this with my Nike Kyoto women’s trainers from 2004 that I got on Ebay in 2021. They are in amazing condition, but due to their age and Nike using shit glue, they’re starting to come away from the sole so don’t get as much wear as I would like. My fingers and toes are crossed that Nike release them again!
Hope you enjoyed this weeks substack- K, Byee!
